Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Miranda, Edsel and Tania are displaying the classic symptoms of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Ache in the left arm, which occassionally will travel up the neck and across the left side of the chest to the sternum. Mine is most pronounced at night, which is typical. I also have symptoms if I type on my computer for too long.

Work on your posture now, there are web sites dedicated to TOS that show exercises you can do to make you pain free. Follow up with your doc--there are simple tests where the doc checks your pulse as he moves your arms into various position.

Do it, you will be glad you did.
