numb foot and foot drop

On 12/3 I hurt my upper back lifting a heavy box. On 12/10 I stood up and twisted my right ankle. The top of my right foot is numb. I am unable to flex it and when I walk the foot drops. I have seen an internest and a nerologist. They think I may have damaged a nerve and hope it will repair itself.
can a chiropracter help me. My back is no longer sore but I do have some tingling in my left arm occassionally.
