Meralgia Paresthetica

I have been diagnosed with meralgia Paresthetica by a neurologist. He preescribed neurontin 300 mg. three times a day.I tried this for a month and a half with no effect. This condition has become crippling as I can no longer stand or walk for more yhan 20 minutes without severe pain. Would a chiropracter be able to help me? If so, what would he do?
