: does a broken pelvic bone ever heal?

my husband was in a bad wreck and has a open book pelvic fractor and the only thing they could do is put a fixator bar on him because he busted his bladder in the accident'and the hip is broke too,and the last x-ray's done a week agao show's the bone turned down in the right leg.the accident happend 11-02-03 and this is 5-20-04 tell me something to do for him because he cant walk.
