My left leg from my hip to my knee is numb a lot of time, but the past couple of days I have had sharp pains that feel like long hot needles sticking in my leg, what is causing this and what do I do for it? I had my yearly physcial this past week and the nurse practioner that did my exam said that it was probably a pinched sciatic nerve but never told me what to do for it. Since I saw her the hot sharp needle pains have stared.
