Hello Leslie - I have been in a similar situation for about 3.5 months now. My pain started with my sitting at a computer for long hours (I'm a programmer) and over the course of day I get a progressively worsening pain in my left upper back between my left shoulder blade and spine, accompanied by shooting numbness/tingling through my heart and out to my front left chest/upper rib area. It feels like I'm getting a slight numbness in my left hand, but it's hard to tell. I've gotten an X-Ray and CT scan, but the tests were inconclusive. I'm now thinking about acupuncture/chiropractor/physical therapy but the doctor wants to get a diagnosis first. Anyways, I just wanted to ask you to let me know if you figure out a diagnosis/effective treatment, and I'll do the same.
