Re: Lump in lower back, near my spine.

Dear Doctor,

I have recently noticed a semi-large bump in my lower back. My coaches at my school say that it is just my muscle bunched up from twisting alot and that I should put some biofreeze on it and do some stretches and leg-lifts. I've had the lump for about a week and a half now and everytime I do some physical activity it starts to hurt and it seems to be slowly getting bigger. I have been doing the stretches and it doesn't seem to be helping. So my question is, what is it and what should I do to get rid of it?

Thank you,
Jennifer Cameron
