Dislocated Rib?

I have been reading here, researching dislocated ribs in regards to both a recent and an old injury.
First the old: I was rock climbing and in the process of an extreme move when felt a snap on my right side, which was very compressed at the time. The pain abated, but that night, in bed, as I rolled onto my stomach I felt something strange. The second rib below my sternum was protruding a little at the tip, as if it had become dislocated from the rib below it. It was sore for a while but eventually my body adjusted to the new position and it has given me no trouble.

Recently I was thrown from a bucking horse and landed hard on my back, just below my right shoulder. I thought at first I had broken at least one rib, but now due to the speed with which that pain is improving believe I only bruised my ribs. However, and not unexpectedly I am having some discomfort again in the displaced rib in the front. I am now 43 years old and it has been around 20 years since the first injury. I am assuming the initial injury has generally weakened the integrity of my ribs on my right side. I am wondering of there is a correction, or if I have cause for serious concern?
