Re: Compressed thoracic vertebrae following fall.

Hi

Just read your pain, I hope things have improved?

The reason I am contacting you is that I fell off a ladder 14/02/08 at home and went to A&E and was discharged with “only” soft tissue damage and told to rest for 72 hrs, which I did and never had time of work!

On the 22 March I received a letter from the hospital to say I had actually sustained a .9cm compression fracture to my T11 thoracic vertebrae and told to return immediately. I am seeing a surgeon on Monday for urgent review but on a 2nd scan have been told the compression has got worse by 4mm and my vertebrae has possible healed in the wrong position.

A) What treatment long and short did you have and did the hospital offer you any apology, compensation?

I was told by my own GP I would have been signed off of work for at least 4-6 weeks if given the right results and now worse scenario I could be looking at 6-18 weeks.

Just wanted some answers from those who have been there and not those at the Hospital who stick together!

Thanks

Andy Maxwell

Anatomically knitted knee support incorporating contoured silicone insert surrounding the patella: The kinetically integrated guide counteracts lateralization of the pattella. During activity the insert not only counteracts patellar malalignment but provides intermittent compression for the reduction of swelling and edema.
