Protruding xiphoid process

I am 40 years old and was diagnoised with a protruding xiphoid process. It is not painful, but prevents me from sleeping. It is a discomfort. I took Ibuprofen for 10 days which seemed to help for a couple of months then returns. Any advise or comments.
