sholder pain

Hello,
Iam 49 years old, female, disable due to lower back problems. About 5 months ago my (L) shoulder started hurting when I would try and sleep on my (L) side, It would click and hurt. Then I notice I started having trouble getting dressed in the mornings, or anytime I went to put on my coat or change clothes. And now Im to the point I can't reach or put my arm above my head or behind my back. Now the newest thing is, My Right should is starting to do the same as in my (L) did in the begaining. I have gone to my doctor he has me in p/t now for a month and a half. No relief at all. I told my doctor this so he now has taken an X-ray, nothing has shown up. Im going crazy with this pain, it keeps me now from sleeping due to the fact I can't sleep on either of my sides nor on my back due to my back problem. On my last doctor appt. as Im sitting there talking with my doctor about my pain he tells me, that is isn't anything to do with my sholder it is coming from my neck, So now he has taken a X-ray of my neck. I don't have pain in my side of my neck. I think he is just trying to throw things out there because he doesn't know what the problem is. But at the same time Im really hurting daily, every hour! Do you have any suggestions of what I can do or try to get rid of this pain! Thanks so much for your help and your fast response!
