I have played sports at a very high level for my entire life. My initial problem with my joints started 6 years ago when I first dislocated my shoulder playing basketball. The next injury was a torn acl from soccer. Since then I have torn my acl again and dislocated both of my shoulders probably 8 times total playing various sports. I have had my knee reconstructed twice and my right shoulder reconstructed. Recently I dislocated my left shoudler again. As well I find I am having hip pain after simple workouts. I was told six months ago that my knee is showing signs of osteoarthritis and I am only 23. My question is, why am I having all of these joint problems? Is it just from overuse, joint laxity, or some disease? I have a thin build, but I am somewhat muscular. Could my thin body and lean muscles have something to do with it? I just need some help understanding why my joints started falling apart on me at such a young age.
