i had surgery on my left second toe when i was 13 and that seemed to solve all the problems of the pain and not being able to walk on my foot correctly. but 4 years later the growth on my joint came back and then they did another surgery and i havent had problems since. the doctor said that my joint was worn flat, and there was a piece of bone broken off and floating in the joint area which caused the problem
