Re: Broken Sesamoid Bone

I lived with a broken sesamoid for almost four years before I had to have surgery. I have had just about every thing done and nothing helped. The shots lasted for a few days but the pain would always come back. And from walking on the side of my foot for so long, it makes it hard to walk properly now. If you think surgery will slove your problems, it will not. I lost movement in my adjoining two toes and the feeling in the bottom of my foot. The pain is less now but I still have pain and because I can't feel the ball of my foot I often step wrong and hurt it. At times it feels like I am walking on the ball of my foot. Just remember that you will give up something to have the pain from the break to go away, atleast enough to life a somewhat normal life. After surgery I had to pick up marbels with my toe so try and see if it helps with movement.
