Re: Liz Frank Fracture : Need to operate?

I had a lisfrank fracture in March of 2007. it was missed in the ER and not diagnosed until a few weeks later.I did not have surgery. The ortho doc casted me for several weeks and i was on crutches through the end of June. it was decided at that point that more conservative measures (Pt, orthotics) taken even though i was still having a good deal of pain. The pain is tolerable, but i can't be on my feet walking very much. Should i just expect to have pain forever? Will it go away after time? Is there still a benefit to surgery at this point? I just want an opinion. Should i get a second opinion from another ortho?
Thanks

An ideal cushion to help preserve metatarsal phallangeal joint alignment (e.g. bunion deformity and post-operative toe drift).
