Re: Torn Achilles Tendon

Hi Jim,
How is your achillies tendon healing? My boyfriend tore his and he doesn't no how to go about healing or if he should have surgery. He as you know, is in tremendous pain. Thanks

I was in a car accident in 2002 and my Ortho doc said my heel pain was comin from a nerve in my back after a X-ray of my foot showed nothing ..I took it on myself to go to a foot doctor after 2 years and he ordered a MRI >>Showing a torn Achiiles tendon ...Ihave to wear a cam boot now and may have to have surgery after walking on it for two years ..My foot doctor said I should have Shock Wave therapy ,,,Has anyone had this treatment or is it a waste of money ????JIM

The Silipos® Soft Sock™ is a two-layer sock carefully designed with a proprietary gel pad molded in between the two fabric layers at the sole to absorb and reduce friction, abrasion, shear forces, and moisture away from the foot. It is recommended for the diabetic, rheumatoid or insensitive foot.
