bent and widely spaced toes

Hi,
I have very widely spaced toes on both feet, mainly in the spaces between my big toe and the toe next to it, and the middle toe next to that. They spread out like a fan and not only does that cause rubbing, I get back pain often.
I think the back pain and the spaced out toes are mainly because I wear quite flat, wide boxed shoes shoes and have been doing all my life.
Also, the middle toe on the right foot bends to the right from the top joint.
I wondered if this is common seeing as I've not heard it anywhere, I presume because it isn't serious? And I wanted to know if wearing small heels that are slim in the foot box but not tight, would help to shape my feet, including my arches (which I thought might be one of the main causes of my lower back pain).
Do you recommend some kind of strapping or support?
I just want to know why mine are like this and everyone else mainly has closed toes that are straight?
Thanks

Full-length viscoelastic insoles incorporating areas of softer density in the heel and metatarsal region. Raised metatarsal pad aids in desired realignment of metatarsal heads.
