Hi, I had history of plantar fascitiis. Then I was in a car accident, hit in the rear. I slammed on brakes. Got contusion on bottom of heel (assumed prior diagnosis). Pain increased severely. Got injection & PT. PT caused burn to heel due to contusion. NWB for 6 weeks plus 2 months to get back to walking. Started PT & they noticed my ankle peroneal tendons snapping. Surgery was recommended. Waited for blister to completely heal. Surgery was done 14 months after injury. Results not good. No Subtalar joint movement. 2nd surgery was done to repair impingement back of ankle and remove small Giant cell tumor and cysts formed from first surgery. Tendon that was placed behind groove was glued to bone and he corrected that. Attempted to move subtalar joint without success. Having trouble with knee alignment when walking and bending and going down steps is difficult. This uneven walking is now giving me back pain. What limitations will this lack of subtalar joint movement give me with time. Will my body learn to adjust or will new problems develop. Attempting to get out of brace and into shoes. No shoe seems to fit my foot when walking. I am at 2 1/2 months since second surgery and 2 years after accident.
