sore small toe on left foot

I had an accident about 2 months ago where I hit my small toe on my left foot off of the edge of a door in the dark. My small toe was bruised and very sore for a week.

The bruising went away but it was constantly tendor. Then a week ago all of the outer area of my foot became tender/sore to the touch and when my weight is put on it. I also have pain in my ankle and knee.

What are the symtoms of a broken/fractured small toe please?
