Re; Knuckle injury & pulling of finger

I have Hurt my knuckle & finger by fulling on my hand & it is only now when the swelling & brusing have goen down that my skin on my finger is cought in my knuckle & pulls vert tight.I have tried to pull up the skin But is stuck/cought on my knuckle. What is this injury called & what can I do to release the skin from my knuckle?
