Re: SHIN SPLINTS!!!!! Painful!!!!

Pretty good advice. Also maybe do stretching exercises. Good running shoes with a good arch are helpful for shin splints. Try running on even sufaces and ground that is soft like a running track. See a Physical Therapist. The pain is telling you to slow down. Definely laying off is the big help. If you need to train to stay in shape do something like swimming which wouldn't agravate the shin splints.

The Achillotrain has a viscoelastic heel-wedge to raise the heel for relief of Achilles tendon. A silicone insert on the back of the Achillotrain leaves tendon pressure-free and provides intermittent compression for the reduction of swelling and edema.
