Re: Ligiment damage

In January I rolled my ankle at basketball practice by landing on the person's foot and making my foot land sideways. My coach and atletic trainer told me to ice it and wrap it up and so i did for about a week. It didn't hurt all through the rest of basketball season. I think I rolled it again in the same basketball season. But now, about six months later, I rolld it again by jogging alongside a road in Scotland and I was along ways from home because I live in the U.S. and so I had nothing for it. But hen it only hurt for a couple of days and then I re-rolled it again. It didn't hurt as bad as it did when I first rolled it in basketball season. And I saw the doctor and I have to get an MRI. The doctor I saw said he's 100% sure that a tore a ligament and I trust Because he's a very good doctor. I just wanted to know if there is anything I can do for it to heal it faster or something like that because if I have to get surgery on it, I own't be able to play footbal and I play sports year round. If there is anything you can tell me too help it heal or something of that sort can you please tell me. Thanks!!
