Re: Swollen Leg and Ankle From Sprain

I fell and sprained (I think--the dr. didn't xray it--they said it was only sprained) in August. The ankle is still swollen and my whole leg still has swelling. Is that unusual for it to still be swollen after 6 mos. or more? I have tried everything. Walking for exercise seems to make it worse or it stays the same. Putting my foot up doesn't do much either. Will it ever go away? What can I do? Maybe I fractured it (hairline) and it didn't heal right? Could this be the problem? Can you give me any advice. I am 57 years old. Thank you
