You need to take care of it now! I was diagnost with this injury 2yrs later and one heck of time. I have had one surgery which was a little successful but now I am going in for another one cause I was that 20% that did not heal correctly. You need to take care of this now. And yes if done properly you will return back good as new if not better. If keep going on as you are, they say you will develop arthrits and potentialy your bones will fuse, losing all functions of your hand. I totally encourage getting the surgery!!!!
