Re: post core decompression of hip

My core decompression surgery was March 26, 2008. I seemed to be doing ok walking with my crutches but April the 11 then I feel down 20 steps and was taken to trama unit to be checked out--I had three cracked ribs and sore all over--I went my Ortho surgeron the next week and he did not seem concerned about my fall-he told me to start walking on my cane--I tried for a few days but started having pain and went back to crutches and wheelchair when out to stores ect---I had a lot of pain in my hip but the Doc said x-rays looked good--this wehn on till last wek and I told the Doc the I thought the operation was a failuar--he still said the x-rays look fine and that it was something else cause my pain--he said it could be brusinits and gave me a corsoine shot and said I should be ok --I was better for about two days but. MY Doc's last visit was Dec 11th--I have so much pain that I hurt all the time and use the lidocaine patch on my him and leg which helps a lot--I have degertive boon deecesein my left foot and have beet treated my a Doctor for it for the passed six years--The pain pills and ibuprofen I take for my left foot helps my hip pain some but I do not think I should still have this pain now. It has been 9 months since my core decompression surgery..I will be 65 years old Feb 17 and will not be seeing my current Ortho Doc then. I have one more visit with him on 01/26/09--Could you please tell me what you think of my operation and pain status ect. I will have to start with new Medicare Docs in Feb---Thank You very much, Robert Collake
