dislocated knee - fibula

I fell on May 13,2006. The Dr. I saw told me to ice it and to stay off it of two weeks. I mostly did. But I have 3 kids and 3 foster kids. I went back and the Dr. said I needed 6 months of phyical theraphy. the fall is not covered by insurance and I don't have the money for physical theraphy. Do you have any advice??
