Re: hyper-extended knee

: i would like to know what exactly is hyper extended knees.
A long skinny muscle or something bent the oposite way as I came down from jumping to shoot a basket during my basketball game. I would like to know what that "something is", it's right behind the knee. My coach said I hyper-extended my knee, is he right? Right now, my knee is swollen. Just wanting some information. I am 15 and clue less, help me. I also can jump, I'm limping on it, but it really hurts when presure is on it, and I can't bend it far. It's hurting all around my knee: the side, back, below my knee, and of course, behind my knee. Thats bout all the information I can give you about it right now, I have to get some sleep, thank you.
